[STRIDER 1991 DOS]

"Bare in mind, my work gets low scores not because I am breaking any rules, or my work is shotty, but because some people don't understand the rules of Newgrounds."
I did not give you a zero because of the youtube player, but because the youtube player was the only thing about the video I found good. This was obviously done on a tedious and difficult animator, and was well done when that is kept in mind. However, newgrounds asks us to rate the submission and that, in my opinion, was aweful.

The first clock animation I have enjoyed.
Perfect music, comedy, irony, animation...
I can only criticise on when the dog turns around. Other than that; awesome :)

Mediocre.

This isn't a BAD flash, don't get me wrong. You say in the comments that you will disregard the reviews of those who haven't tried flash, and I have. I know how hard it is, and I would be proud of this piece of work. I'm not sure what it's based on, or any of the back-story. I am merely judging the work.
The voices were okay; good voice acting but bad quality. That is most likely just down to a bad microphone. The expressions were okay, but the hair seemed a bit stiff. The music did fit the piece well, but in time only; the mood didn't REALLY seem to match the music.
My main criticism is that the story is in bits. You have the boys at the blackboard. The boy with the blocks... eating him? Then him with no leg, and then the picture on fire.
This is NOT a bad piece of work, and with only two months of flash experience you could become a great animator. My advice to you is to keep working and watch other peoples work. If you learn to take different things from different works then you can put them together in your own style and improve the overall quality of your work.
Quick note: Please, as a request, do not be so hostile in your comments. It acts like a meeting point to trolls, and will only piss people off. Just ignore people who hate on your work.

If you aren't familiar with the source material I can understand how a lot of this seemed out of place, or just cobbled together strangely

I watch a few flash animations from time to and time, and usually am able to gather some ideas or inspirations on techniques.

I will however, never stop being hostile to those who I feel merit it. We here at BoobMarley do not negotiate with terrorists.

Great... BUT

The ending really needed improving. A fade out to black and soundless headshot with scissors just didn't suit this. 'Twood have been better to have the whole class screaming while the credits scrolled, or something of the sort.

Good

Good fighting animations, and the voices were quite good if the accent was ignored. Also I loved the ending. What you should work on is timing. You put the well-drawn faces up for very little time, whereas the items in his hand were on the screen for much longer than necessary. The "Hmmmnmnmn"s and groans in the audio should also be kept to a minimum. Altogether this was a pretty good animation, and I look forward to more with this kind of humour.

Okay...

This isn't a great animation, but when you try something close to the madness series people are going to expect it to be great. You need to make the movements more fluid (multiple things happening at once), some camera movement (easiest way to do this is to make a whole fight sequence into a symbol then move it appropriately), and try to stop the parts where everything goes really slow. Other than that the blurring effects were good, along with the shooting and explosion. Your not great yet, but it seems like you will be soon.

I didn't notice at first that this was close to madness. But when I got a little better look at It, I realized It did. Should I make more key frames or motion tweens to make It more fluid? And because many things happen at once Is because "The Badass" has super speed powers. (kinda like the matrix). So what you mean Is: I have good potential and I should keep training. Is that sorta like what you mean?

I have seen hundreds of videos on Newgrounds. most of which I enjoyed more than this. Yet I find this at number 16 in the overall leaderboards? I have no problem with the animation it's self, short and badly animated as it is, but I do however have a problem with its score. There are plenty better animations out there, yet this gets a leaderboard postition. Either this video has hacked the system, or the system is no longer working. The animation its self i have given a 3/10 rating because it contained no actionscript, loader and only the tiniest amount of movement, all of which looks tweened.

Some of it is tweened some isn't, I made this with toonboom animate, which is a traditional animation program. It's my first so don't expect awesome fluid animation. I'm taking this whole year to learn some as that way I can post the rest of my episodes which look a whole lot better. Thx for your input

Good, but:

Exellent animation, great flow of movement, sounds and music all good, but it was all text and no ani. what ani there was, was amazing, but there wasnt enough of it. if there is a sequel make it longer. other than that, brilliant.

It was ok at first but you oviously got bored and made the movie of a lower quality and messed it up in the process.
